Need Help finding a location. I am trying to locate a place I camped and hunted in 2010. I have since lost my old paper maps and I think I've lost my mind. I can recall everything about the area except exactly where it is and how to get back there
Attached is a picture taken the last time we were there in 2010 with a FS road sign that I think says 4523 /153. This is in the Huckleberry unit. Any locals on here that could help me?? I also can't seem find an map app that shows 4 digit forest service roads. Any help would be greatly appreciated and will save me tons of gas. ;)

I'm not sure how much this helps, but I downloaded an app called hunt stand. It's similar to onxmaps, however you can click on a parcel of land and it will tell you who owns it. I'm not sure if they have it on Apple products but I have it on android. It shows everything. You may want to check it out since it's a free app.

I have downloaded every app I can find. And none of them reflect a four digit forest service. Seems like they all start with the letter E been six digits in the letter F on the apps. Been looking for a way to cross reference.

try looking on caltopo. They have official FS maps available on there, and they list the 4 digit numbers AFAIK.

Rhinoron247 - I have a program at work that carries the 7 digit numbers on it. I'll try to search it today and get you something better to work off of. You should PM me today with another e-mail address to send the findings back on so your area isn't advertised to all.
I tried to blow up the picture to see the road number better but it's to blurred, are you certain its 4523?? It might be very difficult to locate if those numbers are wrong since just about every major drainage throughout the Colville can have a 153 stem road in it.

That's Private property now owned by the Native Americans.

There is no Forest Service Land in the Huckleberry unit. That sign does look like a Forest Service Route marker but not in Huckleberry. What direction from Chewelah were you?

There is a 9522 153 East of Addy. Other side of the Hwy from Huckleberry

201 4028 and 4060 North of Barnaby Creek west of Lake Ellen, in the National Forest but close to the Res. Not the huckleberry unit, but there is a Huckleberry Jeep trail which could lead to the confusion

This would be the closest 153 road on the Forest.

153 rd WSW of Baley Lake 1.5 miles. Heres the directions from Chewelah...sound like it could be the place?
-
I think you guys probably nailed it in the 49 Degrees GMU, as Moose said, there is no forest in Huckleberry.
-
Glad you guys stepped in. Looked at work and came to the same conclusion. At least there is no road matching in Huckleberry

Go into the F.S. Ranger District Office for the area you were in.
Talk to one of the Foresters or Surveyors.
Take you pictures and anything else you have with you.
Those guys get around and may be able to pinpoint the location.
Short of making the trip, try to call the officce and find a point of contact.
You might be suprised how helpful these guys can be if you approach it right.
Good Luck,
Rob.
