I got this fella right off the roost. First time I've had access to private in WA, a lady I work with was kind enough to give me permission to her turkey factory. I've spent a lot of time on public running up and down drainages chasing birds...sometimes you deserve a layup..
Got to her property at 5AM and one bird on the edge of the property was already sounding off. About 1 gobble every 15 seconds until he flew down. I was able to get w/in 75 yards of his roost tree. Flew down and walked 10 yards to my left. Couldn't have drawn it up any better. Gotta get lucky sometimes :)
Good luck to everyone else!
