:) Buddy getting major dollars back from IRS. Wants a flat top AR-15 5.56/.223 combi, 18 inch barrel minimum. either stock. Will either buy with scope or add it.

Are you seeking suggestions or offers? I have one that meets that criteria not listed for sale as of yet.

What's the primary purpose he's planning to use it for? Precision shooting type stuff off a bipod etc? More home defense? All purpose?

all purpose he owns a good sized farm, runs beef. gets coyotes and bobcats on the farm. other misc. pests including two leg. but his criteria is clear. at least 18 inch barrel, flattop, 556/223 combi. will have scope mounted. either butt stock. free floated hand guard a plus.
He is in no hurry just started looking, he is a shopper and will hold out for a good deal.

It can all be had for chump change. We aren't talking a full custom? Factory AR's are at a all time low right now. The price of a basic 20" factory AR is way less than the cost of loosing one calf to predators. I know..😉

Tell him to look at Bushmaster or DPMS. both have rifles like that and are pretty good for the price. a buddy of mine had a Bushamaster Varmiter and it was a tack driver.

Have you thought about building one? You could build out a rifle to spec that you or your friend would want for less than buying one off the shelf and then modifying. There are a lot of online companies to source parts from to complete an AR build that would be pretty awesome.
