Title: Fishing and Camping
Post by: STLHDHunter on May 17, 2017, 01:41:16 PM
Was hoping to take the girlfriend out Saturday to do a backpack camping trip and some trout fishing. This is step one of a longer plan to ensure she's up for joining me on some of my planned scouting trips. Happy gf = more scouting opportunities in the long run.

Any recommendations this time of year that won't put us in the snow?

Distance is not too big of an issue but likely less than 12 miles round trip.

You could always check out the Quincy or Seep Lakes area over by George. Lots of little lakes to hike into and camp. Probably won't be alone, and the hikes are relatively short, most are under a mile. Good fishing and nice scenery.
