i heard a rumor that you can still hunt phesant out in ellensburg. is there any truth to it? i cant find anything on the regs saying yes or no.

I don't think so, unless maybe the gun clubs have something special going on liek Reecer.  Not sure what they have to do on released birds...

Hunt clubs would be the only way currently. State season closed in January. I suppose if you had some "training" birds you bought from a game farm that too would be legal but do NOT get your dog and gun and hit the field or you will be in for a large fine at a minimum.

Maybe you heard about Cooke Canyon Hunt Club in Ellensburg, they are open until March 31st.
