On Fort Carson as well. All on my 5wt fly rod, mostly off of wet flies.
Best rainbow was 16 inches there

Should be a helluva fish fry!
-
Thought I lost that bass, he took off into the deep and weeds, got snagged up. Took about two minutes, but got him free. Thought for sure I was going to end up with broken line.
-
Nice catch!
-
Nice work Tony!
-
Nice fish! How many bluegills were in that bass' belly?
-
Nice !
-
Carson? Were they the small lakes below the airfield?
-
Yep, south of the airfield.
-
Good report Tony thanks for the info

DUSTOFF 94'-96' I would take long lunch breaks and fish those lakes. CnR everything. A buddy pulled a 4lb bass out of one with his fly rod. Don't believe I even had a post permit. Even got wiped out by a Huey coming in to fill his slurry bucket for range fires.
