Picking one up.
Want to pit a low power scope on..... maybe 1-5 power or something in that range.
Anyone got a favorite scope mount for these?
Thanks in advance.

I have XS"scout" rail on my marlin 30-30. They also make the "Lever" rail and they make the rails for both the 336 and 1895.

I have the XS Lever rail like the one in the second picture. It is well made, versatile and looks good. The peep sight system is a good match for the rifle in my opinion.

Unless you're totally set on putting a scope on it, have you considered a peep sight. I put a Skinner peep on my guide gun and couldn't believe how much better they are than the stock sights.

check out the talley 1 piece super low mounts for a small scope like that. :tup:

@superdown
Do you like those QD's?
They scare me but would be really cool if they work right.

Yeah they work good.I marked the slot for the rear ring so i know exactly which one to put it in when i take the scope off.I have only taken off the scope three times once to sight in the ghost/peep and twice just to see if they would hold zero and the did so i don't have any complaints.
