Anyone have any idea when WDFW will set summer crab seasons for Puget Sound?  I thought they usually opened some time in June but still listed at TBD on website.

Usually it starts 4th of July weekend for the Sound in general but some select areas will open earlier.

Sure would be nice for them to confirm that.  SWMBO wants to spend that opening weekend camping and crabbing.  Get enough licenses for everyone and try to stock up on crab for the year.

I would like to know as well - so I can avoid all local launches that first weekend.  With the awesome long seasons, I take a big pass on the first few weekends.

It's usually July 1 for the central Sound.  See here:
