Title: .50 BMG AP torture test
Post by: jay.sharkbait on June 03, 2017, 04:09:35 PM
Ok, so a  few rounds isn't really a torture test, but I was pretty happy with the results considering it was 3/8 ar500 at 700 yards.

Wow....if 3/8 will hold up to a 50 BMG my 1/2" that just arrived today should handle all my rifles with out a problem.  Can't wait to start banging steal with the 6.5 creed.

What do you use to hange your steel?  I need to make a few stands.

It was actually current issue armor piercing stuff.

These are some stands I designed a couple years ago and the crossbar uses tposts.

Those T post hangers work great! Till some wise person shoots the T post with a .50 then it makes a mess of things...

The tposts can take a ton of abuse, but if ya hit one just right.....

That's why we have the "TP rapid response plan".  :chuckle:

Yep that's what's great about them just switching out the t post and  back up and running.
