Title: 10 Min Dinner - Game Steak Broiling
Post by: Magnum_Willys on June 08, 2017, 07:21:41 PM
My favorite way to cook elk/moose/deer steaks quick and easy.  (Note: I cut steaks thick - 1" preferably, 3/4" is hard to not overcook.  I hit them with a blade tenderizer - have to hold the tenderizer base piece up to avoid flattening the steaks. )

Liberally season steaks with Costco Prime Rib Rub on one side.  This is a heavy garlic seasoning.  Other side salt & pepper or light Montreal Steak Seasoning.  I like to throw them in a ziplock for a couple hours to soak in but not necessary.

Place on a broiler pan with steaks not over couple inches from broiler element.  Broil about 4 mins per side.  Should be red in the middle - Pull out and wrap in foil for a couple minutes to juice up.   Should still be pink in the middle, pink is tender brown is tough.

Meanwhile for the side(s) boil corn on the cob for 5 mins or steam broccoli and dash with lemon juice and parmesean.  Or use baked beans.

Healthy good less than 10 minute meal with minimal cleanup.

Ino, forgot the pics - next time.........
