Title: Food plot progress, I fear I was too late!
Post by: Huntingtony on June 13, 2017, 11:19:52 PM
So the elaborate, perfect, early planted mature clover ridden with apple trees food plot went by the wayside after a bulldozer fatality this winter, but I did get it back together, just fear its too late! The sun is heating up and my clovers are still so small :( maybe by fall it can be a refuge. Here's what I ended up with...

You are irrigating it right? If so you should be fine. Is there grass mixed in on purpose? or are they weeds?

The grass is just where the lawn "feild" ends... Yeah I've been watering like crazy, at least until it gets rooted well. I should have killed everything off before I planted, I spread ALOT of weed seeds when knocked out the trees and cleared the stumps, I'm afraid to spray anything on it until its somewhat mature, so I just grab a beer and pull weeds in my spare time haha, I'll do better next year.
