Title: Toyota frame rust problems
Post by: WA hunter14 on June 18, 2017, 03:30:29 PM: I have a 04 Tacoma that has some serious frame rust, I have done a ton of searching and I keep finding that there is no compensation for a Toyota out west that the program set up is only for back east. Can someone please give me the facts on this situation! Thanks . I bought the truck from Montana but not sure where it was before that.

Go to the dealer and ask them. It was considered a safety recall so if it never made it there for inspection when it was first released I believe the recall should still be open. Only way to verify is to look up the vin with the service writer or technician at the dealer.... not what you find posted on ttora or tacomaworld. I would prefer a service writer whos been working at the dealer since the initial release of this issue almost a decade ago so they know what your talking about.
