Title: Good antler growth
Post by: kselkhunter on June 18, 2017, 06:42:02 PM
Couple bucks in my back yard right now.  This larger one is an annual resident.  Was 4x4 last year, but with those two new points down lower he should be a 5x5 this year, at least.  Good size for a blacktail, and wider spread with thicker antlers.  Hopefully a good sign for this season's bucks in the wilderness.

All the blacktails at my place are looking very healthy this year compared to past years.  The forked horn with this guy today is fatter with thicker antlers than I'm used to seeing, and the does and fawns I see weekly are also looking really healthy.  Good signs.

Deer are looking fat here in SE WA! I have hardly ever seen it so lush. The bucks seem to be putting on strong antler growth. Also seeing does with fawns, and all are looking good!
