Title: Any owners of older Jeeps?

Post by: Ddouble on June 19, 2017, 11:02:01 PM: It has a cool story I obviously don't know how much of it is true... apparently it was an air force vehicle in Germany, some bored Air Force mechanics rescued it from the scrap heap and rebuilt it with a Small Block 283 Chevy. They then shipped it back to the US. It then had big fuel tank added to the back and it was driven across the country. It spent 30yrs in a Barn and the last guy had it for about 3 yrs and then suffered a back injury and can't drive it anymore. He was using it as his daily driver! I drove it from Anacortes to Lynnwood without an issue it sure was interesting!

Thanks, I have been looking at that site, amazed by the amount of information and parts that are available. It still has part of its German tag on the front bumper and a window sticker pass for Fairchild Af base from the 70s.
