Hit Lawson's reef Saturday and Sunday. Great tides, good weather on Sat and decent on Sunday. Did very ok on Saturday and pretty slow on Sunday. It was our first time out there, I don't know if it was shrimped out or just not that great of a spot. We moved a ton, in and out of the crowds and depths from 215-300 with great bait, so I'm fairly certain there aren't good numbers in vicinity.
Looks like it's back to the maps to find an accessible spot in 6 or 7W.

When I fished 6 a few weeks back it was tough at the tide change with minimal current. Once the flood started the fishing went off and we limited easily in a couple pots. Good thing cause our buoys were in danger of being pulled under. Sometimes and hour makes a big difference.

Interesting, thanks. I'm used to 8-1 and 8-2 where I can whack them during any part of the tide. Lawson's is so big and flat it does make sense that you may need some current to get them moving in the direction of your pot.
