We used IMR 4350 back in the day when we loaded for the 30-30. It was a pretty mild shooting load, as a kid I appreciated that. 150gr Hornaday bullet. I remember hammering a Pennsylvania doe using this combo, deer went 50 yards. That was the last deer I shot in PA before moving to WA.

This particular thread interests me greatly. I'm getting ready to jump into reloading, and have an old 30/30 I'd like to tailor some rounds for.

30/30 is a great round to start reloading with.  If you have any questions drop me a PM, I'll be glad to help if I can.
