Has anybody encountered any? I went for a run today off the bridge gate side. Road 14 something or other and encountered two wolves. At first I thought it was someone ahead of me with two dogs, but as they got closer I realized they were wolves. One of which was wearing a radio collar. They were both black and about the size as a black lab. They came up from the dark timber, ran down the road until they saw me, then darted back into the woods. I thought I was seeing things. I was about 4 miles in, in an area where it's one way in. One way out. Curious to hear back from you all.

Make sure you report it to wdfw.

This was bridge gate as well. Looks like they are showing themselves

WDF&Wolves no where their wolves are. how do you think it got the collar?
Make sure to report it. If you don't the WDFW will continue to deny their is enough wolves in the western unit to allow the count down to start. Remember once we have a breading pack in the west for four years, hunting can begin in the east.

Me and my Dad have also seen one each up on the Main gate side. My Dad was sitting over the fox pro 3 years ago or so when one came in on him and got a couple minutes to look at him,,,,,,, and mine was around 12 yrs ago up top on the 32 road.
And, No they weren't coyotes,My Dad being stationed up in Alaska and us living in Alberta for 8years have a little better than average idea of what they should look like :chuckle:(for you nay sayers)
That being said,,, i have also seen some larger than average dogs running around in the bridge gate around the same time that those angus beef where also running loose

I second this statement.

That makes me think I saw one up there last year then. I was still hunting through the reprod and thought it was a coyote, but as it got closer I realized it was a huge coyote. Maybe I saw a wolf....it was grey/brown like a coyote. I'll never know!

Not a far stretch distance wise, but there have been posts on Graham/Kapowsin and Eatonville Facebook pages over the last three to four months describing similar animals being seen between 288th and 352nd. All between Webster Rd and Oroville/OK Hwy. A few arguments over whether they are possibly wolves or not.

Maybe a few jump the fence?
-
There is enough trail cams up there. Sooner or later a good picture or two will be taken.

:yeah: :yeah: :yeah: :yeah: :yeah:
I have no idea if there are wolves there. I've never seen any sign of them, but that doesn't mean much.
But the tree farm has almost as many trail cams as it does trees. If there are wolves, they will show up on trail cams soon enough.

I live one 352nd. I need to look harder I guess. Never seen anything like a wolf out here and believe me, my family thinks I look in the fields and woods for animals more than I look at the road. Lol

Last year checking cat traps, 1 lone set walked 10 ft from trap. Did not check it out. My thought was is it was a hound it would have tried getting bait. Been hunting around wolves snice they were introduced back in the states so pretty sure I know a wolf track

Have heard of someone raising hybrids and releasing them a d wfwd trying to figure out who, when , and where and that's straight from one of there biologists mouths . But I have never seen one in there. There's so much of everything they need in there . Even if there are hybrids or full on wolves. They gonna do there best to deny deny deny
