Title: Wyoming region E
Post by: mtmn35rem5 on June 24, 2017, 08:37:52 AM
Anyone have any advice/information for E? I hunted Y last year and had a great time. E covers a huge area, I think the hardest problem I might have is deciding weather to go after mule deer or whitetail. Also drew a unit 73 antelope tag. Pretty excited!

A lot depends on what your goal is....Some areas are mostly private land. Some areas are lots of BLM with small deer herds. There are also large areas of NF and Wilderness.

The other tough thing is there are short seasons throughout the area. 128 is great, but it's the earliest dates (except the couple units that are "high country Wilderness").

I’m not after a monster deer, I just like the challenge of hunting new areas and checking out new country. 128 was the area I was thinking of spending the most time. I heard there may be some nice whitetails hangin out on public land in that unit near the rivers. Decent unit for mule deer as well? Im assuming they will be higher up earlier on in the season. My dates are flexible and I can spend a fair amount of time "looking around”
