Has anybody been fishin the Methow???
-
I haven't been since October, but I have a few buddies who have hit it recently. Buddy caught 2 natives on spoons on Sunday. He fished bobber-jig 80% of the time. Decided to throw some hard tackle and booyah. Hope this helps. I know of a few more hitting it this weekend. Good luck

Fished it twice this week. Still seems to be slow. Caught a hatchery on Thursday and a native yesterday. I have not been fishing all day, just a couple hours here and there. Pulled a real nice (31"+) hatchery out of the Okanogan last week as well.
Over all its been slow IMO.

how is the water over there?
anyone got any pics of the fish they have been catching? what kind of condition are they in?
-
The water is perfect, the fish are red as to be expected. The meat seems to still be firm. I'm BBQ one right now from the Okanogan and will give a report. Also I have a couple pics I will post later.

i just picked up another noodle rod and im dieing to try it out on some steelhead.

These two fish are off the Methow this fall. I went home last weekend and caught 6 fish but i spent the day fishing for em. It has really slowed down and the fish are getting pretty dark. I'll get pictures of them up on here as soon as i can.

Very nice pics way to go on the catch :chuckle:

They can be pretty dark in the Methow this time of year.

TRS, ya better be careful with them fishies. Some gameys might call the adipose fin in that first picture "intact". ;)

nice fish, believe it or not i'd rather catch a real colored one like that then a bright one. not saying i want a rotted up fish but i love catching one that has all that color on them

haha yeah i forgot about all the rules. We turned her loose but i guess your not even supposed to take them out of the water. I had a game warden tell me last weekend i couldnt even use my net becuase it was notted and not rubber. So many rules :bash:
