Is WDFW still sending out hard copies of the special hunt permits? It seems like it's been a while since the results came out and I haven't received anything in the mail, I didn't notice anything in the online version about printing out a special permit... anybody received theirs yet? Maybe I'm just getting antsy with excitement... :chuckle:
-
I haven't received mine yet either. Good question.
-
When I've drawn elk and or deer I got the cards but I drew a ewe big horn and got a manila envelope with a letter in it. I got it 4 days ago.
-
The OIL notifications were mailed out the 28th of June. As I recall, the other special permit cards came out later...
-
When I talked to someone in licensing at WDFW the other day, he said the actual permits should be mailed out by next week.
-
Thanks for the info, guys!

Got mine a couple days ago. Not the hard card stock of the past. Now it's just a letter stating you must have it on you while hunting.

I've got a bulky 8 1/2 x 11 page to fold up and make my wallet bulge.
-
I can officially join the club - got mine in the mail yesterday. Whats with the new 8 1/2" x 11" version? The old one was so much nicer for carrying without having to fold it up into a tiny, thick chunk of paper. Not that I had much experience with carrying those less bulky permits around, mind you....
-
Just fold it up, put it in a plastic zip lock bag, and stick it in your backpack. That's what I've always done with my permits when they were the post card size. Still was too big to cram into my wallet.

I cut out everything but the needed info.........hope I don't get checked :yike:

Having a full sheet is a good thing especially if you don't fill your permit but have to wipe.
