I haven't looked at muzzloaders in awhile, didn't Remington quit making this gun? Looks like a nice gun.

I believe they redesigned it. Based on the regular 700 action so if you buy one now it has to go thru an FFL and a background check has to be done. Plus it uses a different ignition system.

The gun was redesigned two years ago and has done well overall. The new ignition system utilizes cut-down brass with a large rifle primer, through the Remington 700 bolt action. The breech plug design was originally built by Ultimate Firearms, who have licensed their technology to Remington. The gun works really well and we have really not had any complaints from customers, however, you won't see much more range than some of the other long range muzzleloaders on the market. One of the better features is that the gun burns so hot that there is next to no residue to clean between shots.
If you do purchase one, there are two things that we have discovered. First, you can reprime the brass, but only twice. After the third firing, blowback becomes too severe to continue using those casings. Second, in almost all of the applications, the Remington bullet that is supplied with the gun is the most accurate bullet. This is essentially a Barnes T-EZ with a specific sabot for the 200 grain powder charge.
