Title: Three Forks has N570
Post by: hogslayer on July 18, 2017, 07:07:44 AM
I just thought i would throw this out there.  Three forks has some N570.  I know some guys were running that powder.  I absolutely love it.  Tested 45 degrees and 80 with no change in velocity.

I've got some on the shelf but gave it a quick look and wasn't getting the patterns I hoped.   SD wasn't great but maybe I needed different loads.   I'll have to run some some more and see if I can get it dialed in.  I've been getting mine from Graf's - only $20 hazard fee.

N570 is one of those special powders that when used in medium large to large sized cases, it typically produces significant increases in velocities.  But, it seems to come at a cost of faster throat erosion, too.  That's why barrels are threaded on, not welded on though.  :chuckle: :chuckle:

I have had great results.  28 nosler 3026 with es of 6 and sd of 3. The N560 worked great in my 7mm mag with 168 bergers.  I am going to be testing retumbo and N570 in the 6.5 wsm and see which one does better.
