Title: Salmon eggs for bait
Post by: Skillet on August 09, 2017, 11:28:42 AM
Wanted to check in with the HuntWa'ers to see if there was any interest in a small project I'm considering doing.  Going to get pricing from my processor on flash freezing my coho eggs for making bait.  Would likely be in 5# vac pac pouches.  Would be held at just above freezing for a day before flash feezing. They'd be available for pickup or delivery in late Nov/ early December.

Is there enough folks here that make their own bait that would be interested in something like that?

Feel free to reply on this thread or via pm with any questions or suggestions you might have.

Thanks-

Where would we have to pick them up?

Probably Everett or Lake Stevens .

 :yeah:
That would be easiest.  But if enough guys wanted eggs down in Vancouver, we could set up a pickup location down there. Or Spokane, Walla walla, etc.  I can make just about anything work with enough volume and a little flexibility..

I would potentially be interested. Depends on the pricing.

Pic of some coho eggs from today. Not quite ripe enough yet, will probably start harvesting in a week or two after I'm done with chums.
