Title: Area 7? Anyone fished it recently?
Post by: lokidog on August 11, 2017, 07:25:12 PM: Thinking of going out tomorrow or Sunday, I haven't been hearing anything locally. The wind seems like it is supposed to be a bit yucky, so I'm wondering if anyone has any info?

Post by: lokidog on August 12, 2017, 02:59:27 PM: Landed 7 fish, 5 pinks and to kings, one shaker and one wild about 14lb (Not "landed"). Lost a big fish first thing to a sea lion and had another 4 or 5 self release. Tough fishing with the chop but not a bad day. Post by: WAcoueshunter on August 12, 2017, 05:04:02 PM: Nice, good for you! The wind and chop yesterday were a bit much for my boat, but we had similar results on Thursday. We landed four species up there this week, releasing the (very large x2) coho of course.

That stinks, I figured you were talking about a giant coho! Not many clipped kings up that way, so the change over on August 1 makes a big difference. All the kings we caught were unclipped.
