Title: Tradition muzzleloader
Post by: bighorn1 on August 30, 2017, 02:41:54 PM
I bought a traditions fifty caliber and tried using the triple seven pellets . When I shot there would be a little delay in between the ignition and the shot. But when I use the regular black powder in triple seven it goes right off. Anyone had this problem.

I've never used pellets, but according to Hodgdon, they're only for use with 209 primers.

Use loose powder, not pellets. You will have better ignition and better results.

Thanks Bob I will try the powder instead of the pellets that little delay is just unnerving.
