:yeah: :yeah: :yeah:
There are some places in there that can be really hard on tires.
I try to take 2 spares in there.... And there's one road I avoid at all costs now...... I can't remember the number.....

I spent 10+ days out there and never had an issue one with tires. All I kept hearing of was how it ruins tires but I didn't think the roads were any worse than most other gravel or forest service roads. :twocents:

Yes and no, lol. You probably run decent tires. The average folk with their soft tires will be puckering in short order. Of course that can be said about most of the yakima country. If you fall into this category, heed the warnings.
-
You can still register without a passport. Guards said this would be the case until at least October. Bring all the serial numbers for all guns you might want to use, they will check them every time in. Be polite and patient with the guards and they will treat you right. They work hard and have responsibilities beyond making it easy for hunters to get it.

I had all terrain tires on. They were about half used but were meant for all terrains I guess. :chuckle: I also didn't run roads all day long. Got to where I wanted to be and parked it.

I was turned away in April without a passport. Unless there's been a change since then I wouldn't count on getting past the guard station without a passport or Enhanced Drivers License.

I called YTC to clarify and got two answers. The lady in the gym who issues the rec cards said he needs an ASB card from school, NO EXCEPTIONS! Then I called the visitor center and the guard said he needs a ID card from the DOL, NO EXCEPTIONS! What a pain in the ass.

As I read the entrance requirements someone under 18 should be allowed on the base with a student ID.
The individuals at the entrance guard shack will make the call on what is needed to enter the base, and what you are told may vary depending on the guards on duty. What they say goes.
