It's time to upgrade the ghetto homemade shell decoys as I hunt a fair amount in fields and places where floaters won't work.
I know Avian-X are liked by many, but I'm thinking that the field stake type might be a bit harder to use in rocky or frozen areas compared to the field bases like those on Avery Pro Grade and Cabelas.
Cabelas are on a solid sale and I have a coupon, but I don't want to regret it.
What do you guys think? I'm looking at getting a dozen.

If your only getting a dozen spend the $300 on Avian X. If that is outside your budget, get the GHG. Both work just as well as the other. I have over a 100 of the GHG full bodies.

I just got the dozen Cabela's northern flight pack with bag. They look great.

I think Cabelas decoys look Ok but Avian's or GHG look great. I worry about the material Cabelas uses and wonder if it will actually stand up to the abuse of being tossed around. I know Avian X and GHG will. I would lean towards Avian but I bet most days Cabelas would look fine. My recommendation would be to go to Cabelas and hold both and see which you prefer to look at since decoys are 80% for the hunter. Good luck on the choice buying decoys is fun and addicting haha.

I've been buying the GHG Pro Grade from Rogers, comes with a 12 slot bag as well, for only $199.

We run Avians, but that's a good deal on the GHGs on Roger's. Both good decoys.

I have a dozen Avians with the flocked heads on the drakes. I like them alot. the paint on any of avian X decoys seem to be very durable. Dakotas are really nice too and have awesome contour on the bodies. If you ever plan on getting more than a dozen though I would go GHG because after 3 or 4 dozen you will save a good amount and they last well.

GHG or Avian X decoys would be my recommendation. Rogers is the only place to buy decoys!

I ended up with a dozen Avian X from Cabelas with the flocked heads and 12 slot bag. I had a $40 off $300 coupon and they also let me use the $20 off receipt survey coupon, for a subtotal of $240. I used the eBay gift cards to pay, so out of pocket before tax was $197, not too shabby for a tightwad.

Nice! That's usually how I roll. Decoy's are expensive, makes it a little easier.

One of the richest men in the USA predicts the DOW in going to hit 1 million in a 100 years so that's still a lot of growth till retirement but can't be a tightwad, so buy that 2500 dollar shotgun and dump another grand in camo to go with those deeks.
