Just checking in to see if anyone had any info on hunting the Columbia Land Trust property in the Grayback Unit. My wife has the opportunity to hunt it opening weekend but I'm not sure if it's worth it. Any info or suggestions would be much appreciated!

Been out there a bit during archery. Bunch of forks and a decent 3x3 is all I've seen.

Thank you! I'm still debating on if I should take the wife there for the opener or if I should head to the wheat fields!

Probably better to head to the wheat fields. We've had some serious Cat problems this past winter.

I got the permit to hunt there last season. There are a lot of deer, you will see a lot of forks. One day me and my partner saw 100+ deer with 4 forked bucks (one questionable, couldn't identify for certain) I got a nice 3x3 second day of the season there last year. My advise is sit on the draws coming down from high prairie, the gun club up there will push them down through there. Be sure to get in position well before daylight and sit. After opening weekend of modern firearm it is pretty bleak as all the legal bucks get shot pretty early on. Good luck to your wife and I hope to see a pic of a successful hunt

Thank you for the info, sounds like I might go ahead and focus on the Wheatfields. I have had several people tell me its looking pretty bleak down there.
Thanks again everyone for the info and if we go I will let you all know how it ends up!
