Title: Whats up with the salmon?
Post by: HunterStrait on September 24, 2017, 12:41:04 PM
Typically around now we'd be catching them in around the 300 area on the Columbia. Of all the time's i've(and my dad) have gone out this year, we haven't had a single takedown, not even a tail slap, and we'll see lots of salmon on the fishfinder. We'd typically do an upriver facing troll with eggs or Kwickfish (and most of everyone else trolling by with superbait), with no luck, haven't seen a net out from anyone either.
Is anyone else experiencing this also?

Hot summers with low water and high water temps haven't helped.

Its a numbers game, and there way down. Look at the ten year averages, lowest in about 8 years, by a lot.
