Did see 3 bears. Mom and 2 cubs 40 yards away. That was cool
But no elk. Not even a cow. Day 1 in the books.

So go ahead a bash me *censored* I might have lost a friend or 2 already over this Elk But you know what those so called friends did not hunt with me any of those days or offered I was solo They just had a lot of advice Do this Dont Do that
I am happy with my Elk and have No regrets

Killing a elk solo is a great thing and good for you getting it done. In 13 years of hunting Washington I still have not killed a bull in this state. Handful of flat tops but that's it. :yeah: My husband drew that tag last year. It's not a cakewalk of a unit if you don't know it well. We lucked out big time getting the bull the husband ended up getting. Most hunters wouldn't ever get a chance at a bull elk like your elk Monster, I would be proud. Congrats :tup: :tup: :tup:

There aren't 400" bulls behind every tree even though some may flame you because the potential was there for a bigger set of antlers. You got a couple hundred pounds of meat and a bull at home, which is better that 95% of the other hunters that will have tag soup this year. Congrats on your trophy and a successful hunt.
