Hey y'all,
I drew the coveted multi season elk this year and my hunting area is closed to muzzleloaders. Ugh, but open during modern. I'm planning on being in sw wa for part of the general muzzy elk season. I've lightly scouted some areas and harvested an archery bull in 2014, my first elk. I'm a fire fighter and am looking for some one to hang with. Im pretty good calling. And am apack mule. I'm not looking for honey holes, I just love to hunt.
If ya want some good company, pm me and we can talk.
I can hunt solo as well just wanted to offer....

Anyone??

Well, the general muzzy season closes ten days before my modern permit opens, so that won't work very well.
-
Yup, not great, which permit did ya draw?
Im thinkin of tryin the 673, Whacha think?
-
Never been there, so I can't help you there. I'll be in 346.
-
I've got multi-season elk as well. Busy in early muzzy helping a buddy on his OIL moose hunt, but if your still hunting late muzzy I'd join you. I'm retired LEO so we could spend time commiserating about LEOFF2! 😀
-
Stein, wow the coveted 346, the pinnacle of permit elk hunting in wa, congrats!
TomT, sounds great. Do you normally hunt sw wa?
-
I've hunted 506. Only moved to the west side a few years ago. Still learning.
-
I'll be spending a couple of hunting days near Naselle in Willapa Hills 506. Where will you be in the Williams?
-
extrmski, Do you have an access permit? Much of 673 requires one. There are some small pockets of State land but not a lot. I'm hunting 660 myself and it also requires an access permit and they are sold out or I'd invite you along.
-
RatrodMike, I've been lookin at the west side and saw what I've thought was Hancock gates. Are you using a permit?
Sitka_blacktail, I don't have a permit. Is it rayonier?
-
There is Weyerhauser land, Rayonier, and Campbell group in 673. There may be others I'm not aware of.
-
Actually large amount of area in 673 that does not require permit. Plenty of gates that only got light pressure end of archery.
State land will get hunted pretty hard, but if you got the legs, or a bike you can find elk.
-
Thanks,
I was planning on biking in from the west side.

I'm hunting state land and on the perimeter of the Rayonier land. I didn't buy an access permit from Rayonier.

Thanks guys
