At ten years old, my dad and I decided to take my English pointer for a combined chukar hunt/deer scouting mission in a new area. We pushed four covies of 20+ birds in a half day of hunting. Couldn’t get much shooting because of wild flushes but was able to knock one down for the dog to retrieve. Doesn’t get much better than a day with your dad and dog in the field. The bird was a bonus.

Agreed, doesn't get much better. Seems to get sweeter and sweeter as the dog's days afield become fewer and fewer.
Pic doesn't work for me but I'm on an iPhone so that may be why.
