Title: The Old Dog Still Has It
Post by: Uplandbum on October 13, 2017, 04:39:08 PM: At ten years old, my dad and I decided to take my English pointer for a combined chukar hunt/deer scouting mission in a new area. We pushed four covies of 20+ birds in a half day of hunting. Couldn’t get much shooting because of wild flushes but was able to knock one down for the dog to retrieve. Doesn’t get much better than a day with your dad and dog in the field. The bird was a bonus.
