I’m lucky enough to have been raised by a great father in a great family. I have so many memories tied to this morning it’s crazy. Hopefully memories are being made for many today. Success isn’t measured by notching a tag. Remember that. Have fun and be safe.

Great post, I'm sitting here with my youngest son, best friend and my parents and sister are here also....should be a fun day. It's my mom's first time out so well see how that goes :chuckle:

It's a great day for sure. I haven't rifle hunted for years, but it's still a great day and has that feel.
And good luck to all the hunters today.

Thanks for posting this boneaddict, you are correct about the memories, this is my first time in 43 years not hunting opening day but I can still feel the excitement. :)

Maybe its that time in life to start hunting with a camera, at least you can hunt the rut every year.
