New Sako A7 roughtech, 30-06 Springfield. Vortex 4-12.
It’s a tack driver :IBCOOL:

Good looking boom stick. Kodiak, so you like the Vortex 4x12? Just got one for the wifeys Browning AB3 .243.

Beauty

Do a side by side in a store one day and you will see the difference. QC, fit, and finish for Sako is top of the line for a production rifle.

I like it. 300-400 yards is about the max for that scope. It’ll do fine on the west side.👍🏼

I looked at a lot of tikkas. I didn’t like the design of the receiver or the factory beretta made stock. The sako is IMO quite a bit nicer. But they carry a nice price tag also. I can see another sako purchase in the near future 👍🏼

Good looking rifle. 8)

I have the same one. The Roughtech stock is better than previous, and your Vortex is much better than my low end scope, but otherwise the same. Watch the magazine, make sure it "catches" when inserted. $80 is a lot to replace one, don't ask me further....
Very nice gun. I wasn't sold on the fluted barrel for a hunting rifle, but they sure are pretty.

I owned the same rifle in a 7MM Mag. Tikka shot more accurate and was a lot cheaper. Let me know if you break your stock or want a 7mm mag barrel for that rifle. I have both sitting in the shed!
-
Im not real interested in paying twice for the accuracy i have in my tikka. If its going to be plastic and stainless, i'll buy 2 tikkas instead of the sako, and shoot just as accurate. Wood guns, they offer aome art.

The beretta made stocks routinely get sent in for the tikkas. Swivel stud snaps when a bipod is attached.
The Tikka is in fact a budget line for sako.
To each his own.

As some know I'm a Tikka fan I own 2 and they both have been flawless and very accurate! With that said I picked up a Sako A-7 and it's shoots as expected BUT I do think it will get a new B/C stock

Did you go with the factory beretta stock or the upgraded roughtech? Quite a big difference.

factory one YA I should have listened to you :bash: ordered a B/C about 10 minutes ago. I should have just got the roughtech stock

Well at least you can get a BC in a color/pattern that you like.
