This belongs in outdoor advocacy.

I hope they do straighten out these three decisions. I'm afraid they'll justify them.

The entire notion that banning any firearm will solve the problem of mass shootings, is in my opinion part of the problem. More laws only distract from the work that needs to be done regarding mental illness and other social issues.

In every case of these mass shootings, someone knew the shooter was off and said nothing till after the fact.

Its against the law to murder someone. That law should handle every case.  :twocents:

Not only that, but he should've been on the no-buy list and wasn't. Already have a law. Government didn't use it.

Be careful what you ask for, that's not the first case I would try to press.

For me, the very Idea that opinion, and majority allows infringements when none are allowed is the very thing our forefathers tried to protect against. Here's to them hearing it and Trumps Nominee Gorsuch among others will side on our side.

Those forefathers set up the Supreme Court.

Yeah, the forefathers knew they couldn't think up every situation or technology that would come along and thus created a way to address that essentially forever.  Further, they were largely not in agreement on just about every issue other than their disdain for British rule.

My concern is that the risk/reward is not there for this case.  If it goes south, it will lead to the loss of rights for many as you will see it on the ballot anywhere where billionaire mayors from NY can buy their way.  Our state, for example, would have an enormous time fighting it off.

A win, however that looks, will almost certainly not be a complete win as SCOTUS has stated that some level of control is appropriate and constitutional.  This will only result in attempts to ban other features or attributes or redefining what an assault rifle is.  Thus, I don't think we will actually gain much as the existing bans will be hastily rewritten and pass in the states they exist now.

I would much rather see some reciprocity fights or working on where you have a right to have a loaded firearm.
