That’s a good buck. Is he chasing a doe or running from bullets.
-
Leaving the country
-
Hope he stops.. Wouldn't be able to live with myself if I wounded him and couldn't recover... Modern..
-
Muzzy or Rifle.....he is a dead dear at 75 yards. Bow, which I hunt with primarily.....no way I could take the shot. Great buck though.
I voted, I hope he stops.
-
Modern. Bang. Dead.
-
I think my heart would stop
-
No shot at this point with any weapon type. Dandy buck.
-
Hope I left my scope turned down all the way!

With a bow :bdid:
you freeze standing with jaw open.
-
Open sight = dead deer

:yeah: The only way I would shoot at a running animal is if he was already wounded and I was trying to put it down.

I was thinking exactly this originally. But no way I'm packing an open sighted rifle in that open country, I'm not nearly as good as some at getting that close :chuckle:
It's pretty incredible what a guy can do with a firearm he's intimately familiar with. Respect to those who put in the time and rounds downrange to know what they and their equipment are capable of.

with my model 94 30x30 from my grandpa I wouldn't even hesitate to roll him up

It's a muley, he's gunna stop and see what spooked him. Don't shoot a running deer! Modern, muzzy, or bow.

It's just like every other debate. Stick with what your confident in. Don't take shots you might regret don't use equipment your not confident in and you'll be fine. For someone like me who predator hunts all year long and does lots of wing shooting I feel more than confident that I would have that buck in the back of my truck using any rifle I have in the safe.
