Many sportsmen like my self don't want to see species disappear. The over reach of government is what we fear. You don't have to wear a tinfoil hat to belive it. Here is just one example of the state constantly encroaching on private property rights.

Over a frog that is not present on the land, hasn't been since the 60s. If the state can do it to this guy they can do it to anyone...

You folks in Thurston county paying attention?
