Hey folks.
After 2 years of hunting deer and coming up empty handed I will be focusing on elk for next year. In your opinion which is better; Olympic Forrest or Mt. Rainier area? i plan on doing some scouting seeing as i have a year now but looking to spend a 7 day camping trip next year so sites and areas would be great. i hear east of the I5 is best but also hear good things about the olympic forrest. any tips? best calls? times to scout and rut dates? thanks in advance.

Simple and I am being honest, save your money and hunt out of state for elk, buy yourself good quality hunts, Washington has become an absolute joke to hunt in and fish for for that matter , sorry for the depressing info but it's the truth!!

thats what ive noticed. kind of blows... 500-600 buck to hunt out of state. thats a pretty penny not to mention the travel costs... i guess scouting all year will yield the best info.
