Norm Metzler, a close friend, passed Monday evening at 5:15 due to complications following a massive stroke some 3 days ago.
Norm's father developed the first Mooch-a-Jig and Norm carried it further in marketing and distribution. Norm also distributed many types of quality fishing tackle: Terminal gear, hooks, swivels, mooching sinkers and a lot more. I am sure most of you have used his products.
Norm was a key figure in the Port Angeles Salmon Club, working with the derbies, especially the Halibut Derby, and he was very active in all types of fisheries management in the local area.
He will be missed not only by we Salmon Club Members but by all fishermen!
We are diminished.
