Keep an eye on SB 5050 and HB 1134. Let your reps know you aren't interested in their "solutions". It's only a 10 page bill so it shouldn't take long to read. The germane parts are underlined on pages 5-7. Both bills are the same text, just house or senate versions of the same thing. Keep an eye on your Congresscritters and elected "representatives" to make sure they don't turn you into a disarmed prole.

Part 27(b) makes it sound as if tube fed semi auto .22's will be banned under this law. They then contradict themselves in part 29(b).
"(27) "Assault weapon" means:...(b) A semiautomatic pistol, or a semiautomatic, centerfire, or rimfire rifle with a fixed magazine, that has the capacity to accept more than ten rounds of ammunition;"
(29) "Large capacity magazine" means an ammunition feeding device with the capacity to accept more than ten rounds of ammunition, or any conversion kit, part, or combination of parts, from which such a device can be assembled if those parts are in the possession or under the control of the same person, but shall not be construed to include any of the following:...(b) A twenty-two caliber tube ammunition feeding device; or (c) A tubular magazine that is contained in a lever-action firearm.

"Congrescritters" as you call them are federal, this is a state bill. This bill was introduced in January 2017 and didn't even get a committee hearing in both the House (then controlled by Dems) or the Senate (then controlled by the Rs)
If passed it wouldn't effect tube fed semi auto 22s, it's not a contradiction in the law, it's how laws are written. You say X is illegal, but here are the exemptions.
