Title: Looks like the multiseason draw is done.
Post by: rackattack on March 05, 2009, 03:31:26 PM: Looks like they got the multiseason draw done for those interested in buying their tags. No luck on my elk tag, but my brother-in-law got one. Good luck to all. Of course it's all unofficial through the back door method, but I checked his and it lists the tag as available for purchase.

I assume that it is only good for the general seasons, is that accurate?

you can put in for permits for the different seasons now. for any weapon

They have done worse that take back a multi season tag, so I wouldnt put it past them. But lets just hope they dont heh.

Wow I just recieved a letter from Montana. It says I recieved the Super Tag for Sheep? What unit is that in? Oh well wish me luck to.

You have to use what is known here as the "back door method." It's the page you would go to if you were submitting a special permit application. It shows all your history of applications since the point system started in '96. But you have to remember, this is not the official results. I doubt anything will change with this drawing but you never know. The system will allow you to purchase your permit even though the offical results have not been posted yet. So go ahead and purchase it if it says you were selected. Once you've paid for it they're not likely to take it away even if for some reason they need to do the draw over. Post by: jackelope on March 06, 2009, 02:23:08 PM: if they do a redraw, which it sounds like they won't, they just re-do the draws. you don't reapply or anything...if you were in for an elk permit, you will get rerun in the draws again...if you were not in the draw the first time, you can not be on a redraw....but based on what inside wdfw said,don't hold yer breath for a redraw.

I would bet money they won't refund purchases based on a not certified drawing. Just a thought, would hate to see you guys out 165 claims. I'm sure they got it right this time though right? I mean they've got how many right in the past? :chuckle:

I hear ya there! I didn't go through the backdoor though. I logged in with my wild id. # to purchase my licenses and there was a option to select the multi-season tag. I would assume then that since the option was there that they would have to honor that but you know what they say about assuming things :chuckle:

pull out the credit card and purchase.

They will do redraws later this year for any tags that were "won" in the first drawing, but have not been picked up by a certain date. Everyone should be aware of this. 2 years ago I was not drawn on the first drawing, but got the tag on the "redraw" for the left over tags in August. Problem was, I was not checking WDFW's site, so I didn't know that I had been drawn until I got the notice in the mail... one week into archery deer season :bash: :bash:... So make sure you check back every so often. If there are left over tags, they will redraw..

Actually there have been many redraws in the past 4 years. They are still using the same company as before, but that company is using a new name.

Isn't that the way it always goes!! Oh well let's hope he can pull a peaches ridge tag with 1 elk point I have my fingers crossed!

All kidding aside, it is my first post, and I did draw both deer and elk. I'm pumped. I bought both tags already in hopes of heading off the dreaded re-draw problem.
