This cold weather seems to have moved some birds, went from widgeon, gadwall, teal, and mallards start of the year to just mallards last weekend. Hope it stays cold and locks up some water...
-
Looks like some good shoots. Headed out this weekend and hoping the freeze brings down some new birds.
-
Yeah have only been able to make it out those three times, will be out Saturday if I don't have to work and hopefully another 6-8 days before seasons end, should only get better. Best of luck to ya, still lots of birds pretty far north of moses so more to come.

Good luck to you too. Keep us posted how you do.

I sure hope so. Early season was good to me but been slow last few weeks. This cold snap hopefully will help.

Good to hear, headed over tonight for a morning hunt.

Anyone do any good? Very few birds flying around me. Was able to scratch out 5 birds from the limited opportunities I had.

Managed to put a three man limit of mallards on the ground and a couple of honkers, picked up about noon. Hunting a roosting area and the birds left in the morning to feed and never returned. Must have just been feeding once a day mid morning and returning late afternoon, made it a little tough. Most birds I've seen this year though by far.
