Not sure why, but my first inclination was to think it was a tribal harvest. Really cool old warrior buck.

Knowingly withholding information and obstruction an hw investigation is a criminal offense. Punishable by ..............
Well, you don't want to know so is there some insider info about the buck we dont know yet that you know and are knowingly withholding?!?!?!?

A guy i know up there was offered 3000$ from a guy that had a late buck tag to shoot it on his property a few years back it really looks similar to my pics the extra two years on him would probably make him the size in the mm pic hahah he said heck no!

It was a Regular season buck shot in the the honey hole of all honey holes !!! (https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20171208/1a0e5c94dffaaf6cec4de86546e4d036.jpg)

Awww, you told em' where :(... :chuckle:

The area is huge and these local boys aren’t afraid to get off the beaten path so I’m pretty sure there secret honey hole is safe lol

I'll chime in only to reaffirm that the snippets of information are surprisingly accurate. Bob is a local and the buck was taken during the regular rifle season in Okanogan County. The honey hole assumption is also correct as he already taken a buck of a lifetime out of the same area.... a beautiful symmetrical typical that was pushing B&C, just 6/8th's south of the magic number. Unfortunately, I will not get the opportunity to mount this buck for him, but he's asked to have it officially scored, so I will get my mitts on it soon. If Bob agrees I will post the numbers for those interested in such.
-
He’d better keep that honey hole as quite as possible! Share the score if ok
-
Bob came by last night so we able to run a tape over his buck.
Typical: 120 7/8
Non typical: 211 7/8
Gross: 230 2/8
11 non typical points that totaled 45 4/8.
Mains: 29 & 28 4/8.
Inside spread: 28
Greatest outside spread: 31 4/8
Always fun to play the "what if" game... If the 3rd point on the left side would have branched off of the G2 (in typical mule deer configuration) instead of coming off the main beam, that would have kicked his non typical score into the B&C Awards Book.
Very unique buck in that the left side looks to be off a whitetail with all the points coming off the main beam with a large eye guard and the right side looking like a normal mule deer. Venture to say if you would have picked up his sheds it would be a difficult time associating them as a set.
Merry Christmas all.
-
Wow, that is a stud. Congrats to the hunter.
-
Congrats to the hunter!! What a beast.
Merry Christmas Dale!! What an amazing animal (monster). Cool you got to score it. I know you have seen, scored and held some amazing bucks! Very cool.
-
That's awesome! The score on a buck like that means very little, but cool to know. Thats just a pure beast through and through! Congrats on a monster of a Washington mule deer! Merry Christmas
-
