Members,
Our first fur sale was a smashing success. With 951 coyotes and 48 bobcats we had a lot of fur. I felt that coyote prices were very strong. I personally had 85 coyotes. One lot had 78 coyotes with a 77 dollar average and 7 rubbed coyotes I shouldn't have skinned that brought 14 dollars a piece. Shawn pulled two awesome coyotes out of his pile and got 105 each for them. We had large lots that were no sale at $52 average and $66 averages. I am already getting a lot of cats consigned and have a goal of 250 cats and 500 coyotes for the March sale. The more fur we can get to our sale the more buyers I can get here. Tell everyone you know to bring their fur on March 10th!

Coyote 951 Ave 51.31 (Had two big lots that averaged 55 and 66 that were no sale. We had 105 dollar coyotes and we had rubbed 8 dollar coyotes at the sale)

Holy cows you might want to trap skunks :yike: instead of muskrats at those prices.
Here is a good reason ($2.77) for me to pull my muskrat traps.
Mink I'm thinking those were all males and price seems to be coming up.
Coyotes must be early yotes at $51.31 average.
Last years "heavies" was bringing average around $120.00
The next sale should be better for you guys I would think, or hope for everyone.
Not to high-jack the post but for all trappers especially young and new trappers
Next Fur Sale I believe is Idaho, is:
Intermountain Fur Harvesters Association
Date: February 18, 2018
Where:
Department of Fish & Game office
2885 West Kathleen Avenue
Coeur D Alene, Idaho
Time: Fur Check-in from 8:00 am to 12:00
Should be a lot of Fur Buyer there what I hear.
So if your in the area or what to run your fur over to the next Fur sale, here you go.

I saw pictures from the sale on another forum. The consensus was that the fur was mostly well handled but not top grade. I'm wondering if the coyotes they get there are more in line with SC WA type coyotes.
Everybody hears of the $100+ coyotes but you have to be in the right area to get that grade of coyote.
