Title: Rio Royal Blue Steel

Anyone used these?  They are $90 a case on Rogers right now and I'm contemplating buying a few cases.  What do people think?

I bought a case at Cabela’s last year for about the same price. 12 ga. 3” #2. Been through a few boxes and they seem to pattern fairly well out of my long range Carlson’s choke. They kill mallards fine! Definitely worth $9 a box, id buy another case for sure.

Bought 2 cases for 160$ Around Xmas time from Rogers. I’ve probably shot about 5 cases of it the last few years and I don’t mind it at all. It is dirty though, and on a side note I had a couple miss fires in the last box (but that could be my auto not cleaned wel enough)? For that price you could always use them for clays if you don’t like them.

I purchased 2 cases of the 3" #3 and they pattern and shoot very well.  Might be a bit dirtier than some of the other brands of ammo, but it works well.  After purchasing 25+ cases of Hevi Metal, save the money.  You don't see to much difference when the birds are close.  Stick with a case at a time and shoot the same stuff all season.  This will improve your shooting and harvest rate.   I see to many people bringing multiple brands of shells that all vary in speed and then they gripe about one brand not shooting as good as the next.  It's the shooter not compensating for the variables in the loads.

I buy by the case so I have consistent loads.  Honestly, with an aftermarket choke and decoying birds, all the normal steel loads seem to work fine.

I bought a few boxes a few years ago, super dirty with my gun. I had alot of issues with them ejecting. I got a Browning Gold Hunter. With alot of cheaper shells though I have issues. The best ones I've shot are the Faststeel,Kents.

I normally shoot Kent's in the same size. How do you think they compare?
