I'm not really concerned about the loss of the bumpstock... It does show the lack of understanding even already by the article.
LAS Vegas is pretty muddy. Facts are not firm on the event, and it is not possible to fire a bump stock with a bi pod with long strings of fire.

:yeah:
I agree not to concerned about bump stocks I don't own one,but is this gun law passing gonna cause a ripple effect for the other proposed laws to pass.
-
I agree. I worry because ignorance on this issue doesn't matter. Why would anyone engage the grey matter on the other issues like 30 rnd mags and such...

I am most worried about the possible loss of Preemption.
If we loose that you wont to be able to pack anywhere but your home.

Hope the original bill was modifed as it covered more than just bump stocks.

This is my concern. What else is tagged on that will infringe on our rights or turn law abiding citizens into criminals!

The subject of this post is incorrect. Bump stocks are not illegal in Washington and no new law has been passed. This bill has only passed through the Senate, the House still must pass it, which is not a gimme, and the governor has to sign it into law, which likely would happen if it makes it to him.
This is an important distinction because there is still time to contract your House of Representative members and urge them not to vote for the House version of this bill.

:yeah: and yes, the language was modified yesterday to single out actual bump stocks.

There changed title of thread for ya.
If it does make it though house and turned to law.You can be charged with felony for possession ,No grandfather laws at all,so if you buy one now it makes no difference.

bump stocks are a low hanging fruit, but it provides a path to the bigger juicier fruit higher up the ban tree.
-
There are only 49 Democrats voting for it in the house. If no republicans vote for it it fails.
-
I listened to the first hearing, and someone there mentioned that the state would be required to buy them back if they made them illegal. I haven’t seen any other mention to that. Anybody know if that’s true?

....................and to think, some people on this forum votes for these politicians. The more I read about Washington, the more I hate it.
I'm so happy I moved when I did......... :bash:

No, I love the weather too much. ATV and gun freedoms too. There are so many of them here, without any problems.
