I don't know a ton of info. West slope of Cascades. My aunt's sisters house she took the pic. Already got an answer from Wdfw. Wanted to know what everyone here thinks.
-
Looks like a wolf, though the color is uncommon it is found occasionally. Certainly a "wolf-like" canid, possibilities include wild wolf, escaped captive wolf or wolf hybrid, or a very wolfy domestic dog.
What county?
-
Snohomish?
-
Looks like a wolf! So what did the good ol WDFW have to say? They probably thought it was a Beagle
-
They told her it was a dog.
-
Good, next time that see it they can shoot it.
-
Cool it's just a dog :mgun:
-
They will call it a dog till you shoot it (because they are liars and thieves) :yike: :yike: :yike:. Then if they catch you, they will collect thousands of dollars from you and you will be on the evening news. >:(
-
Yeah I thought it was kinda BS when they told her it was just a big dog.

Oh the games WA St. plays...
-
Looks like a wolf. But guess not........SSS.
-
We saw one about that color running with a big black wolf a few days ago, so I don't know how uncommon the lighter colors are.
-
Looks like a Wolf but I new someone that had an American white Shepherd that look similar as well...
-
I thought it was a bit light for this part of the country but I've never seen one in the wild so what do I know. Definitely not happy with how quickly Wdfw dismissed it. They must know something we don't.
-
Me and the ol' man seen a pretty pale wolf north of Empire Creek(Curlew) about 6-7 years ago looking down a rock cliff at us. Very light, light grey colored. Maybe not quit as light as this subject. I can see this being close to a white Shepard as well, but the face doesn't fit a dog, more wolf.
-
If it is killing in your neighborhood I would say hybrid. Been seeing it for a while? If it was a one time deal, wolf makes the most sense.

Curious what county as well.
If not county was it north/south/mid state
-
He said Snohomish county
-
I think she only saw it once . Sultan area.

LMAO I'm sure.
Time to bait a trail cam, get some better pics

Well, there's wolves in Darrington, so it's not unreasonable to think they would be in Sultan.
-

My bad, saw that response with a question mark and thought it was someone else guessing.
Guess I needed to pay attention to who posted it :chuckle:
-
And these same people who say its a dog, are paying HOW MUCH to that woman, ya know, the one who wants all to become wolf lovers!!??? :bash:
-
I remember a pic of a bunch of white wolf looking K9's along a river, a river that looked very much like that one
anyone else remember that? A whole pack with pups
If I had to guess it was "dog" that's mostly wolf advertised off craigslist.

That was the skagit river I do believe. This pic looks like a flooded field.
-
So WDFW just said ... nope, it’s a dog... or was there more to what they said?
-
Yeah it's just a pond or flooded part of the property.

Not a huge distance away for a wolf could be part of same pack. Wouldn't doubt it that Wdfw lied about that pack either.
-
So WDFW just said ... nope, it’s a dog... or was there more to what they said?
-
All I heard was they said it was a large dog.

Any more pics?
