The Elknut posted his seminar video from the 2018 Idaho Sportsman's Show in Boise on YouTube a few days ago. Whether you're new to Wapiti hunting, or, have been at it many years.....the information Paul Medel shares in the seminar is (IMO) invaluable for an elk hunter. Check it out when you get a chance; its more than well worth the watch. Who knows, maybe the insightful information shared in this seminar will help you bring an elk home for dinner this fall ;). Enjoy.........

Hey Paul, I picked up your app and am wondering where you suggest I go next. This is my first year of hunting elk with a bow and will be in MT and possibly WA this year. Any suggestions on resources for picking up the basics including desk scouting an area, what to do when I get there and general ideas on how to pursue (what to do in certain situations)?

The APP answers those very questions. Maybe you haven't Updated it recently? We had new ones as soon as last week. If you have the most recent Update you will notice in the Menu the Tactics title, click on it & go to New Elk Hunter Tips! It will cover your questions there. Get the Update if needed, they are free! In most cases you need to go to your APP Store to retrieve Updates. As a sidenote you should also have the Recording Feature too, do you see that? Thanks!

Thanks for sharing!
Paul has the most infectious energy!
I first heard him on the Hunt Backcountry Podcast, and most recently, on TradQuest. Every time I hear him talk elk I'm ready to run through walls. :chuckle:
I bought the app ($5 for such a resource is cheap!!), and am buying the ElkNut's Playbook. Don't forget all the free content he puts out on YouTube.
Looking forward to bagging my first elk this fall!

Thanks, the questions above came before I had a chance to check it out. Ran through it first pass yesterday and it is great. For $5, I certainly found tons of value.

Paul is a stud. I unfortunately was sick and couldn't make the sportsman's show so this video is awesome. I will be downloading his app and buying a few things from his website. Very genuine guy from all of his videos

I got the app about two months ago. I practice my calling a little bit each day. Really like the recording feature. I can guarantee you that if you spend the $5 and practice regularly, it will be the best $5 you have ever spent for hunting. My calling has improved a lot so far, now I just need my buddies to put in the time learning as well.

Great video, I watched the whole thing, then purchased the app. It must have increased in price? $9.99 when I went to the app store. I'm not complaining though, the knowledge shared in the video alone is worth that. The finished app has improved quite a bit compared to the beta test version. I didn't have as much time to use that one during the test phase, but I can tell it's improved and I'm looking forward to using it more.
