Title: Drew 49 degrees north

First time drawing a spring bear tag and ive never been to 49 degrees north.Any suggestions on where to start?

I'd start with a map.

Though a lot of folks will think that's a jerk answer, it's actually an honest answer and where I would start.
Look at a map, find public land, there is tons of it and drive over and look for bears. Bears eat grass and green things in spring, that should tell you everything you need to know to go hunt spring bears in the spring in 49 degrees.
