In my typical fashion I spent all of early rifle season in pursuit of the NE Conners ghostly muleys with no avail. Seeing several small barely legal bucks and lots of wolf sign. I opted out on the final day to notch my second deer tag after taking a basket rack 3 point White-tail with my son. Didn't stop there as I continued the final trip of the season to Western Mt. On the 3rd day after only seeing a hand full of deer all together I jumped a buck with several does on a small Alpine bench. Never offered a clean shot at even 40 yds. After a short foot pursuit in thigh deep snow down a jagged rocky ridge he gave me a broadside 150 yd shot through the pumper. My second biggest to date.
